Couples Counseling
Relationships are the most important and most difficult part of human life. Many of us were taught that we would meet our partner and live in bliss until the end of time. This is not correct. Relationships trigger us, meaning, whatever beliefs we have based on our childhood experiences will be triggered in our primary relationships. Most of what is upsetting for us in relationship is not about what is actually happening, but what we believe is happening from a deeply subconscious and wounded place within us.
I do not do couples counseling from the framework of what needs to happen strategically for the relationship to be successful, but rather as an internal search for what we are making the problems to mean about us as individuals and how those wounds can be healed. We learn how to be in relationship when we are infants and those patterns play out in relationships. We also make up beliefs about ourselves (powerless, unworthy, unloved, etc.) that drive not only how we show up in relationship, but who we choose to be in relationship with. Couples work requires us to be willing to look at ourselves, I encourage everyone to do individual therapy as well as couples therapy.
I am trained in PACT.

Couples Counseling is not covered by insurance. Relationships are difficult and insurance requires a medical diagnosis to cover counseling. My fee is $175 for a 50-minute session and $260 for a 75-minute session.
